Technology
This technology will enable the reduction of the cost of kW installed costs to a half and reduce Return of Investment (ROI) to 3-4 years (without subsidization) instead of the current ROI of 10-7 years (with subsidization).
Winflex technology is based on a cost effective solution for wind turbines (blades and other components) due to a new designed rotor that can be produced from light flexible and inexpensive cloth sheets made out of composite materials.Project background
The project is based on the invention of Dr.V.Kliatzkin. First turbine construction began in 1980 at “Sivan Co”. Following the successful field test results, the Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has supported the R&D process.During the development period two successful prototypes (10kW and 200kW) have been built and tested.
At present, 1000kW turbine is being developed.
